At SportsVet Grooming we understand the importance of where you take your pet to be groomed. This experience should be as stress free and as pleasing as possible for you and your dog!
Our Groomer will talk with you about your goals for your pet’s grooming experience. Understanding and meeting your needs is important to us.
Canine clients won’t have to spend all day waiting around for their turn at the spa. We offer morning drop-off’s for morning grooming appointments and afternoon drop-off’s for our afternoon appointments. To reduce the stress of being away from home, we implement the use of essential oils to calm and relax our canine guests. A member of our grooming staff will call you as soon as your pet has finished his/her spa treatment so you can come and get them at your convenience.
In order to keep all of our Grooming guests happy, healthy and safe we request that all the following requirements be met.
Prior to your grooming visit, we recommend reviewing the document below for what to expect and how certain situations may be addressed.
Proof of the following vaccinations is required. Vaccines must be administered a minimum of 10 days prior to your pet’s visit.
Rabies (1 or 3 year)
DA2PP (1 year)/DAP (3 year) : Canine Distemper, Adenovirus Type 2, Parinfluenza, Parvovirus
Bordetella (“Kennel Cough”) : Given every 12 months
All of our Grooming guests are strongly encouraged (but not required) to be on monthly Heartworm Prevention and Flea Prevention.
Monthly Tick Prevention is also suggested for your pet’s safety. We recommend that all forms of prevention be purchased through a licensed veterinarian.
Please Note: If any fleas are present at the time of check-in, your pet will be administered a CapStar for an additional fee. Capstar is an oral, fast-acting flea treatment for dogs. It safely and effectively kills any live fleas within 30 minutes.
